Job description
The Meadowbrook 8 Theatre is now hiring! We are looking for friendly, customer-oriented individuals to join our team during regular hours. The successful candidate will help us to ensure a great customer experience for each and every guest.
Responsibilities:
- Work between 10 to 20 hours each week, in the afternoon, evenings, and/or weekends depending on your availability. Additional hours are available during holiday periods (school breaks) and summer.
- Deliver a superior customer-service experience for all movie guests
- Communicate with customers via phone, e-mail, and messaging as applicable
- Ensure that all daily/nightly duties are executed with accuracy and consistency
- Operate food and beverage equipment, including popcorn machine and warmers typical of theater concession stands
- Keep the workplace clean and tidy during operating hours, including the food service areas, restrooms, and auditoriums
- Account for cash and non-cash receipts at the end of the shift
- Assist with special events and activities
Basic Qualifications
- Be at least 16 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, particularly on weekday evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
- Ability to build and maintain a rapport with customers and guests
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate in the food service area
- Ability to lift at least 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a public, customer-facing position
- Experience in food service or hospitality
- Frequently attend movies
