Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Evaluation-Only Position In-Person

Are you a Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys assessment and report writing more than ongoing therapy services? We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language evaluations only for children in educational settings.

Position Overview

This position focuses exclusively on conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations, completing written reports, and participating in eligibility or EDT meetings. No ongoing therapy services are required

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations for students referred for assessment
• Administer and interpret standardized and informal assessment measures
• Complete comprehensive evaluation reports within established timelines
• Determine eligibility for speech-language services according to state and district guidelines
• Attend eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Current New Mexico state licensure
• NPI and NM Medicaid numbers
• School-based experience preferred
• Strong assessment, report writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage evaluation timelines
