What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Golf Course Maintenance position at Meadow Brook Golf Club of Reading MA?
Meadow Brook Golf Club, a Private Golf Club in Reading, Massachusetts is seeking motivated, hard-working, dedicated and responsible individuals for full-time or part-time seasonal maintenance positions.
Employee will be responsible for the safe operation of equipment used for mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs and willing to work in varying weather conditions and dress accordingly. Must be able to perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance and construction. Tasks will include (but not limited to) raking and edging sand bunkers, operate trimmers, fly mowers, walking mowers, tractors and utility vehicles. Must ensure safe working environment at the maintenance facility, golf course property and with equipment at all times. Employee must be able to perform job activities in all phases of golf course maintenance.
Standard work schedule will be 6 days/week, 43 hours/week, 37 weeks per calendar year. Mid to late March until early December. We also have part-time positions available as well as weekends only positions. Daily starting times vary between 5am - 6am. Schedule may vary from week to week on an as needed basis. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays during the golf season.
Qualifications: Ability to lift 50lbs, must be 18 years of age, ability to work in inclement weather conditions and have a driver’s license with reliable transportation. Landscape experience is helpful and golf course experience is even more helpful.
