Pay for this Role: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload customer and contractor orders accurately based on invoices and tickets.
- Greet customers, verify orders, and ensure materials are correct before loading.
- Safely load customer vehicles and contractor trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Receive and unload vendor deliveries; verify materials against purchase orders.
- Organize, label, stock, and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Identify and pull materials listed on tickets and communicate shortages or issues.
- Process and document returned materials and place in designated areas.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, sheds, and work areas.
- Cut lumber and assemble materials as needed for customers or orders.
- Assist customers with product selection and resolve issues professionally.
- Follow all safety procedures and protect company property and equipment.
- Perform duties in all weather conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to become certified).
- Previous warehouse, yard, or building materials experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret invoices, tickets, and basic order information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, organized, and dependable.
- Willingness to learn building materials and product knowledge.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (4–10 hours per day).
- Ability to lift, carry, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly, including lifting 50 lbs.
