Key Responsibilities
- Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
- Maintain trucks and trailers; coordination of drop off and pick up for repairs.
- Verify all cargo is reviewed, secured and ready for delivery.
- Follow all safety and load compliance for securing cargo.
- Deliver loads to job site and shag trailers as needed.
- Ability to deliver large construction components and building materials to construction sites in rural areas where conditions may be difficult to navigate.
- Ability to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Experience operating a Moffett forklift or similar equipment.
- Maintain all logs and paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant DOT regulations.
- Stock supplies/track inventory as needed.
- Interface with customers, job site staff, contractors and compliance regulators.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to all external customers.
- Must have ability to operate independently in a high-volume, faced paced environment.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 75lbs or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be dependable and willing to learn.
- Current and valid Class A CDL required and licensed to drive a manual transmission.
- Minimum of 1 year experience flatbed, wide load and roller trailer preferred. Minimum 1 year experience delivery experience with Lumber Yards or equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Clean driving record and a valid CDL driver’s license required.
- Must pass a US DOT random drug test at required intervals.
