Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated, talented, and driven individual to join the Mead Lumber Cabinetry Team as an Intern. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced industry professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The intern will assist with cabinet design, layouts, and project support tasks, contributing to real-world projects while building valuable technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to create or revise project plans.
• Determine cabinet layout, plans, colors, styles, and designs.
• Obtain project measurements to verify design and space solutions.
• Order product.
• Coordinate product timing and delivery.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to enhance operations.
• Shadow experienced professionals to learn best practices and industry insights.
  
  

Desired Skills, Knowledge, And Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Drafting, Construction Management, Architecture, Design, or a related field (Junior/Senior status preferred).
• Familiarity with CAD software or similar design tools is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in building materials, construction, or a related industry is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
