Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Utility/Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Raleigh, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, North Charleston, SC, or Lexington, SC office locations.
Responsibilities Include
- Assisting with the design of water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects
- Evaluating and analyzing existing projects
- Coordinating with multiple utility owners, SCDOT, NCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies
- Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects
- Preparing design computations and quantity estimates
- Developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department
A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
- At least 2 years of relevant design experience
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all Of The Following
- AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Utility coordination/relocation design experience
- Municipal/Water Resources engineering experience
- EIT certification
