What You'll Do
As a Roadway Design Intern, you will support transportation engineering projects through a combination of office and field assignments. Responsibilities may include:
- Work alongside experienced engineers on challenging transportation projects
- Collaborate with project managers and colleagues on multiple transportation projects that vary in size and scope while developing familiarity with the federal, state, and local design standards
- Utilize technical software programs to analyze, prepare, and quality check client deliverables
- Field observations and data collection
- Assist with preparation of technical reports and memos
- Participation in technical and client meetings
- Fun team-building activities that will allow you to network with professionals and interns alike
- Completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- A valid driver's license is required
