Pennsylvania Steel Company, Inc. is seeking a full time, permanent, Material Handler for our Bensalem, PA location.
This Position reports into the Branch Warehouse Manager

Job Overview
This person will be responsible for handling various types of metals by hand or via material handling equipment to fulfill work orders and packaging according to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Perform various physical tasks related to work order fulfillment involving order pulling, material handling and packaging.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all safety and quality guidelines as laid out by Pennsylvania Steel and the PA Steel Safety Manual, as well as the Employee Handbook.
Follow all quality measures relating to the branch's quality instructions.
Follow all packaging instructions laid out by customer specifications or as instructed by PA Steel supervision.
Required Experience
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
An understanding of, and ability to operate, material handling equipment such as a forklift, and overhead crane
Proficient in Windows based software
Working knowledge of decimals and fractions
Proficient in measuring via tape measures and micrometers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work safely in an environment with machinery, overhead cranes, and moving equipment
Ability to work a full shift on your feet with little stationary time
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access forklifts and truck beds
Medium / heavy manual work involving handling over 50 pounds frequently / up to 100 pounds occasionally
Tolerance of temperature extremes encountered both inside and outside of an open warehouse environment
