Position Summary
The Systems Administrator II (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Support Services, you will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. You will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Tier 3 Support & General Administration (40%):
- Provides tier 3 support for complex technical issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
- Researches and resolves problems related to company software, hardware, or network while maintaining system integrity and security.
- Clarifies and properly documents all changes in ITSM tool in accordance with corporate change management policies and programs.
- Assigned as SME to various applications, including Active Directory, Endpoint Protection systems, Office 365, financial applications, and call center applications.
- Develops performance standards and trains users to ensure systems are maintained effectively.
- Manages workstation and software patching to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Leads technical aspects of projects by collaborating with internal organizations, analyzing operations, determining project scope, documenting results, costs, and preparing and maintaining vendor contracts.
- Develops solutions by assessing requirements, studying system capabilities, analyzing, and recommending alternative solutions, preparing roll-out plans of new technology.
- Identifies and implements cost-saving improvements.
- Provides and develops end-user support, training, and training materials to various internal organizations on systems use.
- Technical Expertise – Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows, Mac), networks, Active Directory, VPNs, cloud services (Microsoft Azure), and endpoint protection. Ability to install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and mobile devices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills -Ability to work independently and multi-task / managing multiple efforts (or systems) simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer-service mindset with a focus on helping end users feel supported and confident using technology.
- Problem Solving & Analytical Skills – Ability to research, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues (Tier 3 support), assess system requirements, and recommend effective solutions.
- Security & Compliance Awareness – Ensuring systems are up-to-date, secure, and compliant with organizational standards, including patching, software updates, and mobile device management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in System Administration.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft (and MAC) operating systems, including installing and maintaining both physical hardware and cloud applications.
- Strong knowledge of networks, Active Directory, VPN, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience managing mobile devices such as Windows 10 and iOS utilizing Microsoft Intune or other Mobile Device Management solutions.
- Experience with Manage Engine Endpoint Central or understanding image creation, security patch deployment and software packaging.
