Shipping & Receiving Lead

We are seeking a reliable, motivated Shipping & Receiving Lead to join our warehouse team. This role is designed for a fast-paced individual with a "can-do" attitude who is dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and managing a small, productive team.

Core Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Directly manage and provide instruction to a temporary workforce and warehouse staff to ensure quality and deadline adherence.
• Shipping & Logistics: Coordinate daily shipments (FedEx, UPS, trucking), create shipping labels, packing slips, ID tags, and load plans.
• Inventory Integrity: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory to ensure 100% count accuracy.
• Operations Support: Load and unload freight containers and trucks; act as a backup driver when necessary.
• Production & Assembly: Oversee the assembly of parts and ensure all items are packaged and labeled correctly to prevent damage and maintain a professional appearance.
• System Management: Utilize the Epicor system to research inventory, jobs, and PO information while ensuring accurate tracking and costing.
• Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve workflow, reduce costs, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  
  

Requirements & Competencies

• Experience: Minimum of two years of warehouse experience.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Ability to operate a forklift safely and proficiency in evaluating daily reports to plan future projects.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and coach staff to achieve company goals while showing initiative within the overall DSI team.
• Reliability: Commitment to the shift schedule of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
