Job Title: Windows 11 Deployment Technician
Location: San Diego (On-site)
Job Type: 5 Months Contract (Project plans to end in September)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Windows 11 Deployment Technicians to join our team for a year-long project focused on deploying new computers in our office. This role will involve building and configuring approximately 519 new computers for end users, as well as managing remote upgrades for an additional 489 computers. The ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent user support.
Key Responsibilities:
Computer Assembly and Configuration:
- Build and configure new Windows 11 computers according to specified requirements.
- Install necessary software and updates to ensure optimal performance.
User Support:
- Collaborate with end users to understand their needs and customize configurations accordingly.
- Provide hands-on assistance to users during the deployment process.
Remote Upgrades:
- Manage the remote upgrade process for existing computers, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during remote upgrades.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, software installations, and configurations.
- Assist in the tracking and documentation of deployment progress.
Shipping and Logistics:
- Prepare and package computers for shipping to remote locations.
- Coordinate logistics for shipping and ensure timely delivery.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with IT and project management teams to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Provide regular updates on progress and any challenges encountered.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in computer assembly, configuration, and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 operating system and related software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with remote desktop management tools.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transport computer equipment as needed.
- Availability to work on-site in San Diego for the duration of the project.
