We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team.
Job Overview:
The Carpenter may supervise a laborer, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role demands leadership, communication skills, and an understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities on a construction jobsite.
- Ensure all work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and timelines, and complete daily logs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with project manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and clients.
- Mentor less experienced crew members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Assist with onboarding new crew members by providing guidance in familiarizing themselves in BuilderTrend (job access, clocking in/out, daily logs), fleet vehicles, shop supplies, and day to day tasks.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- 6 years of full-time experience in residential construction preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Able to lead teams of less experienced crew members to effectively execute the job plan on time and within budget.
