THE OPPORTUNITYYou will lead daily operations in a busy, system-driven automotive repair facility. Your responsibility is to keep the shop moving, the team aligned, and customers informed.
This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong service-advising skills. You should be comfortable presenting recommendations, handling challenging conversations, and helping your advisors close work confidently and ethically.
Your greatest contribution will be building a team that performs consistently under your leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL OWNPeople & Leadership
- Set clear expectations and follow through with consistent accountability.
- Coach advisors on communication, customer relationships, and sales execution.
- Partner with the foreman and technicians to improve production and remove obstacles.
- Lead purposeful huddles and regular coaching conversations.
- Build a culture where people feel supported, take pride in their work, and uphold high standards.
Shop Operations
- Own dispatch, workflow, scheduling, and daily production priorities.
- Match customer commitments to technician capacity and parts availability.
- Identify bottlenecks early and take action before they become bigger problems.
- Maintain process discipline, quality-control standards, and timely vehicle delivery.
- Follow through on customer updates, approvals, and unresolved concerns.
Sales & Customer Experience
- Help customers understand their vehicle’s needs and make informed decisions.
- Build value through clear recommendations, confidence, and trust.
- Support advisors with complex estimates, objections, and closing opportunities.
- Improve sales performance while protecting repair quality and customer relationships.
- Take ownership of concerns and follow through on solutions.
You will use the numbers to guide decisions and coach the team:
- Shop sales and gross profit
- Average repair order and closing ratio
- Technician productivity and billed hours
- Effective labor rate and parts margin
- Car count, workflow, and turnaround time
Customer satisfaction and retention
Knowing the numbers matters. Knowing how to improve them through people and execution is what makes you a leader.
WHO WILL THRIVE HERE- Three or more years of relevant automotive management or high-performing service-advisor experience.
