Road Service and Fleet Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Road Service & Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced mechanic who enjoys a variety of work environments, from roadside emergency calls to maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours service needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency roadside service calls and perform on-site repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance concerns.
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, batteries, lighting systems, and other vehicle components.
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
• Communicate professionally with customers and drivers regarding repair needs and vehicle status.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Assist with shop maintenance and fleet repair projects as needed.
• Participate in an on-call schedule to provide after-hours and weekend emergency service.

Qualifications

• Experience in diesel, automotive, truck, trailer, or equipment repair preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate service trucks, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to respond to roadside service calls at various locations and times.
