Packaging and Assembly Technician Role:
The Packaging and Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and packaging products according to company quality standards and production schedules. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble products or components according to work instructions, blueprints, or schematics.
- Perform visual and functional inspections to verify product quality before packaging.
- Label and prepare finished goods for shipping or inventory storage.
- Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and defects.
- Follow all safety and quality control procedures.
- Clean and maintain workstations, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized work area.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Organize device history record documentation in preparation for it to be sent to customer and end-user.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and hand–eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer or data entry skills are a plus.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced production environment.
- May involve standing, bending, and repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Shift work may be required (day, evening, or weekend shifts).
Qualifications and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read and write in English using proper punctuation and grammar.
Experience deburring metal would be a plus, however you must have some experience using a microscope.
