Position Overview
We are hiring a CNC Machinist / Setup Technician to support our precision tooling operations.
This role is ideal for a machinist with 2–5 years of CNC milling experience who is ready to take ownership of setups and grow as a machinist. This position requires understanding setups, blueprints, and machining principles to ensure parts are made correctly the first time.
You will primarily prepare and square stock, set up blocks in 3-axis CNC mills according to blueprint, run programs, and ensure parts meet print and tolerance requirements. Some cavities require tight tolerances in the ±.001” range.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and square stock material to blueprint specifications
- Indicate and properly set up blocks and components in 3-axis CNC mills
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Run CNC programs and ensure proper setup before and during machining
- Understand and apply CNC principles including feeds and speeds
- Monitor parts to ensure all dimensions meet print
- Be able to manage multiple machines and projects at a time
- Deburr and polish machined components
- Tap holes manually when required
- Use manual shop equipment such as drill presses, reamers, taps, and hand tools
- Fill coolant and machine oil as needed and perform basic machine upkeep
- Support inspection using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and surface plates
- Perform light die and fixture assembly and small bench work as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of CNC milling experience preferred (open to strong entry-level candidates willing to learn)
- Experience setting up parts on 3-axis CNC machines
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Comfortable indicating parts and verifying setups
- Understanding of feeds, speeds, and machining fundamentals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Self-motivated and able to work independently within a small team environment
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Consistent overtime weekly (paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours)
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
