Role Overview
The Art Consultant plays a key support role in our art consulting projects, working closely with the Senior Art Consultant to manage project coordination, artwork specifications, vendor communication, and logistical details. This position focuses on behind-the-scenes project support to help ensure smooth execution from initial concept through final installation. The Art Consultant reports directly to the Senior Art Consultant.
This is a remote position with some travel for training and occasional client visits.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their vision, aesthetic preferences, and project requirements.
Art Selection: Curate and recommend art pieces that reinforce design concepts and meet client objectives.
Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations of artwork recommendations to clients, ensuring a clear vision and cohesive plan.
Project Management Support: Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and coordination with vendors and installation teams.
Detailed Specifications: Develop detailed artwork specifications, including sizing, framing, and material selection.
Vendor and Artist Coordination: Liaise with artists and vendors regarding production, pricing, shipping, and installation details.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including client communications, project timelines, and budget tracking.
Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Trend Awareness: Stay updated on current art trends to enhance creative recommendations.
General Support: Provide additional administrative assistance as required.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Interior Design, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience curating artwork for interior design projects across diverse sectors, including corporate, healthcare, hospitality, multi-family, and senior living environments.
Skills:
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Familiarity with architectural plans and design concepts preferred.
Creative and innovative thinking with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in design software and tools.
