Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist providers with wound assessments, treatments, and procedures.
- Perform wound dressing changes according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding wound care, infection prevention, and treatment plans.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
- Coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of wound care supplies.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards.
Required
- Current Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
- Previous wound care, dermatology, vascular, surgical, home health, or outpatient clinic experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
