Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. (40 hours)
Location: 192nd & Dodge, 84th & Farnam
Summary: The Lead Clinical Support Staff supports clinical and operational leadership in the effective and efficient administration of clinical operations and serves as a role model on the team. They assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of excellent patient care in a fast-paced neurosurgery and orthopedic clinic setting.
MD WEST ONE EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Follow all MD West ONE policies and procedures.

· Perform all other duties and tasks, as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create staffing schedule for assigned clinic location, pending managerial approval.
· Manage staff time off requests and ensure appropriate coverage, including when call-ins occur.
· Assist operations leadership with in-person employee coaching and development, as needed.
· Responsible for training and assisting with onboarding for new employees, as needed, at assigned clinic location.
· Order supplies using preferred vendor and inventory list; monitor and stock inventory.
· Manage the injection suite and stock of injection trays.
· Support additional clinics during staffing shortages, as needed.
· Serve as a role model and assist operational leadership with ensuring compliance of MD West ONE policies and procedures.
· Greet patients and provide outstanding customer service and assistance.
· Perform various clinical duties, including obtaining vitals, medication lists, allergies, and past medical history. Document information in EMR system.
· Maintain HIPAA compliance.
· Obtain outside records including x-rays, MRIs, and any previous notes for the physician to review prior to the patient’s scheduled appointment.
· Review phone messages and collect patient concerns prior to sending to physician.
· Document orders, referrals, testing, physical therapy, and restrictions ordered by the physician.
· Handle all prescription requests and send to the physician for approval.
· Schedule all surgeries and send orders to the hospital.
· Schedule all imaging, injections, EMGs and any other tests.
· Clean and stock exam rooms.
· Document and meet the requirements of MIPS.
· Complete all quality standards meeting OSHA requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3-5 years’ experience in a clinical, hospital or nursing care facility, required.
· Current CNA license, required.
· Certified Medical Assistant, LPN or RN, preferred, in lieu of CNA license.
· Experience in a neurosurgery or orthopedics setting, preferred.
· Experience with Intergy or Cerner, preferred.

· Must be able to tolerate intermittent physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, carrying, talking, seeing, bending, and handling equipment. Position will require full range of motion and may require lifting and pushing items weighing up to 30 lbs.
· Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
· Ability to reach with hands and arms to operate office and/or medical equipment.
· Ability to travel to clinic locations, as needed.
WORK CONDITIONS:
· Works inside in a medical clinic office setting. Will be working in a clean, well-lit area. May deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity.
· Job may require contact with clinic staff, adjacent hospital staff, and/or patients; potential exposure to communicable and/or infectious diseases.
