SUMMARY: The IT Director is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, development, and day-to-day operations of the organization's information technology systems. This role ensures that IT infrastructure, security, and applications support the organization’s goals and comply with industry standards and regulations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives and innovation projects.
  • Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies and IT trends.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT services.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff and managers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of IT projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Creates, maintains and monitors appropriate IT related budgetary controls
  • Plans for the implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to support the companywide infrastructure
  • Communicate effectively with internal/external clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies, continually defining ways to increase client satisfaction

MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES
Special Projects Assist in companywide activities associated with the department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans for, selects, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, business administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of job-related experience. Good oral and written communication skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to physically count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.

REASONING ABILILTY
Ability to define problems establishes facts and draws valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
