Overview
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position providing mobile hydraulic hose repair, preventive maintenance, lubrication services, and mechanical support for construction, agricultural, dairy, and industrial equipment.
Every day is different. One day you may be responding to an emergency hydraulic hose failure on an excavator, and the next performing scheduled preventive maintenance on loaders, tractors, skid steers, dairy equipment, or other heavy equipment. When field work is complete, you will assist in the shop by building hydraulic hose assemblies, preparing service trucks, organizing inventory, cleaning equipment, and supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities
- Respond to mobile hydraulic hose service calls.
- Build and install hydraulic hose assemblies.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps, valves, and related components.
- Perform preventive maintenance services on heavy equipment.
- Change engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission fluid, gear oil, coolant, grease equipment, and replace filters.
- Inspect equipment and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records.
- Maintain service trucks, tools, and inventory.
- Assist with shop organization, hose assembly, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and general housekeeping.
- Deliver professional customer service while representing the company at customer job sites.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
- Dependable and self-motivated
No hydraulic experience? We are willing to train the right candidate who has mechanical experience and a desire to learn.
