This unit also serves patients with general medical-surgical needs. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while guiding patients and families through complex and emotionally sensitive healthcare experiences. What You Will Do: Provide direct nursing care to oncology, med/surg, and hospice patients Administer medications, including chemotherapy (if certified), and monitor for side effects Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans Offer emotional support and education to patients and families Participate in discharge planning, pain management, and palliative care coordination Document patient progress and communicate effectively with care team Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered ASN required, BSN preferred At least 1 years of Oncology Experience required BLS certification from American Heart Association; additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements. Professional specialty certifications may be required in accordance with departmental standards or role requirements. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
