This role reports to the Director of Labor & Delivery. Responsibilities: Working closely with Neonatologist, Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapist, Social Workers and other professionals to provide a care for infants admitted to the NICU. Attend high risk deliveries (including multiple gestation, meconium, congenital defects). Administer medications, inserting IV lines, utilizing ventilators/CPAP and perform tests ordered by the Physician. Providing education to the family on home care in preparation for discharge. Charting via electronic medical records using EPIC. What you will need Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame). Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification (American Heart Association). NRP certification. At least 2 years of nursing experience in Level II NICU or higher. Preferred: BSN or MSN preferred STABLE certification; or obtain within 1st year of hire Pay Range: $38.92 – 55.68 Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
