GENERAL PURPOSE:
The IT Campus Tech will serve as an on-site technical support that will assist with all tech related tasks on the campuses.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
• Chromebook repair/maintenance. Many chrome books that are submitted for repair can be fixed at the campus level.
• Maintain classroom "ecosystems," including speakers, cables, keyboards, mice Teacher computers, desk phones, smartboards, and document cameras.
• Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of projectors or integrated sound systems for school assemblies or special events.
• Monitor and respond to the service ticket system, prioritizing "Teacher-Down" or "Testing-Related" issues.
• Provide "just-in-time" training for staff on how to use their classroom tech effectively (e.g., how to record a lesson using the document camera).
• Monitor Internet/ WIFI status for all three buildings.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be a critical thinker
• Must be able to actively listen and communicate effectively with other staff members
• Willing to learn new technology
JOB RELATED CONDITIONS:
Work is typically performed in a school setting. o Some travel may be required. o Long periods of sitting in front of a computer or standing are likely.
Must be able to perform physical duty when assigned such as installing equipment, etc.
Must be able to life up to 50 lbs. unattended.
