Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage telecommunications, heat, electricity, plumbing etc. and refurbishments and ensure they are well maintained;
- Ensure facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards;
- Oversee building projects, renovations or refurbishments;
- Responsible for handling facility emergencies as they arise;
- Manage the maintenance of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations;
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs;
- Supervise all facilities staff and external contractors performing equipment & facilities maintenance;
- Control activities such as parking, waste disposal, building security etc.;
- Handle service contracts including company leased and owned vehicles;
- Keep financial and non-financial records.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance facility management;
- Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Decision-making;
- Teamworking;
- Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture;
- Commercial awareness;
- Customer Service;
- Organization, time management, prioritizing, and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload;
- A good knowledge of IT Packages;
