Purpose
Job Description
Ultimately responsible for setting the speed and tone of production by proactively scheduling and allocating resources, in service of delivering quality products to exceed our customers’ demands.
Key Performance Indicators
Sustainability: Meet targeted monthly build requirements by /- 2%
Customer Experience: Meet targeted OTD requirements by /- 2%
Employee Experience: Create and implement 2 inventory optimizations per year
Core Function Of Position
Planning (60%): Analyze inventory levels and customer demands in Ax by utilizing current scheduling tools to prioritize and release orders. Proactively create and organize printed orders, barcodes, and bills of material for production to meet the daily build requirements. Distribute orders to the respective resources delegated by the responsible General Foreman.
Communications (25%): Communicate across all departments to adjust production for expedited products when necessary to meet customer satisfaction. Proactively collaborate with production counterparts by creating a shared responsibility for resource allocation and delegation in service of quality products as well as on-time delivery. Identify production gaps that may interfere with the daily production goals and communicate those gaps to the responsible parties to remove production inefficiencies.
Inventory Control (15%): Facilitate inventory control by identifying and addressing inventory movement and/or transaction issues. Periodically performing scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts to ensure sustained inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
Resource allocation, Leadership, Employee monitoring, Math, Time management, Teamwork and Communication skills, Familiarity with production processes and schedules, Logistics, Quality Control and Raw Materials, Familiarity with Accounting Software, Logistics Planning Software, Microsoft Office and Manufacturing Software
Required
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent with one year manufacturing experience.
Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent with two years’ manufacturing experience, MRP system experience and Clow Product Knowledge preferred.
