Job Profile: Pediatric Evaluation Psychologist - Child Development/Autism, Faculty - Assistant Professor | Department of Pediatrics | Division of Pediatric Pscyhology & Developmental Medicine Position Summary: The Division of Pediatric Psychology and Developmental Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children's Wisconsin, seeks a board certified / board eligible physician to join our expanding Division.  This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at the Children's Wisconsin hospital campus. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.  Position Highlights: This position will provide child psychology services with a diagnostic focus on children with attention concerns, learning issues, autism, anxiety, language disorders, intellectual disabilities, etc., including interface and consultation with school personnel as needed. In this role, candidates will specialize in conducting thorough evaluations to assess developmental, academic, cognitive, social, behavioral, and emotional concerns in children and adolescents. Working closely with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapy providers, and others, you will play a crucial role in helping families understand their child’s strengths and weaknesses and diagnostic profile and in developing personalized recommendations for patients. This position also affords the opportunity to support families in an ongoing nature through therapy. Approximately 15-25% of your clinical time will be dedicated to engaging in evidence-based individual, family, or group treatment with patients with anxiety, ADHD, and developmental delays. Clinical 90%: Services provided include psychological assessment and testing and individual and group psychotherapy. Teaching 10%: All Department faculty are expected to teach psychology learners, residents, and medical students as they rotate through our clinics. Dedicated supervision opportunities may also be available. Research: While this is primarily a clinical position, opportunities for clinical research and teaching are available. High-level overview of patient population: children and adolescents generally between 2-18 years of age Locations the position may work in: Children's Center for Child Development in Wauwatosa and/or Children's Milwaukee Campus Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate. Schedule: This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) FTE/Schedule requirements Mon-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with schedule flexibility as needed Salaried (Exempt) Department/Division Highlights: Pediatric Psychology & Developmental Medicine is comprised of more than 45 faculty along with APPs and dedicated research staff. Division faculty deliver all levels of training as part of our mission to teach the next generation of clinicians. Qualifications: Eligible candidates should have a PhD or PsyD in an APA approved clinical psychology, school psychology, neuropsychology program, or appropriate subspecialty program. Candidates must also be licensed, or eligible to be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin. Clinical experience assessing and treating children and specialized training, including fellowship in child psychology is preferred. In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology.
