FLSA Status: Independent Contractor (1099)
Time Requirement: Flexible
Pay: Fully-commission-based. % of first-year revenue for monthly recurring clients ongoing residual income for as long as the client stays with us. No cap on earnings.

McVay HR is a Cache Valley-based firm that provides administrative support to small/medium sized businesses with 1-50 employees. Many small business owners spend hours on payroll, timekeeping, paperwork, compliance, and other time-consuming administrative tasks instead of running their business. McVay HR takes that work off their plate. We believe in a givers-gain approach: we lead with what helps the client, and good business follows.
Summary:
We are looking for a self-motivated 1099 Sales Representative to help connect local small business owners with McVay HR's services. This is a fully commission-based role to start. You'll find and build relationships with business owners, learn what is slowing them down, and introduce them to how McVay HR can help. You'll have the freedom as a 1099 contractor to set your own schedule and earn based on the results you bring in.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
- Identify and reach out to small business owners through networking, referrals, and community events.
- Have genuine conversations to understand each business's HR, payroll, and back-office needs.
- Set up meetings and help move prospects toward signed service agreements.
- Track leads, follow-ups, and progress on prospective clients.
- Represent McVay HR at local business groups, chamber events, and networking meetings.
- Share feedback from the market on what services local businesses need most.
Skills & Experience Needed:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage your own time and pipeline.
- Comfort reaching out to and meeting with business owners.
- Sales, B2B, or small business experience is a plus, but not required.
Bonus If You Are:
- Already connected in the Cache Valley business community.
- Familiar with HR, payroll, or bookkeeping (a bonus, not a requirement)
Pay: $20,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
