Job Title: Operator 1

Location: Tuscumbia, AL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. Overtime and weekends may be required.
Pay Range: Starting at $15.00 per hour
Position Overview:
The Operator 1 works in the Assembly Department at McVantage Packaging in Tuscumbia, Alabama. This role runs and supports the machine that builds wood pallets. The operator helps keep the machine running, checks pallet quality, and keeps the work area safe and clean. This is an entry-level role. Training is provided.
This position follows similar safety, quality, and teamwork standards used across assembly roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Run the pallet assembly machine to build pallets
Load boards and materials into the machine
Watch machine performance and report issues
Quality Control:
Check pallets for correct size, nailing, and build
Remove or fix damaged or incorrect pallets
Production Support:
Help reduce downtime by keeping the machine fed with materials
Work with team members to meet daily production goals
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety rules for machines and tools
Wear required protective equipment at all times
Keep work area clean to prevent hazards
