MCV Law is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Estates Team for a temporary assignment in its Chittenango Office. This role provides critical administrative and document support to our attorneys and paralegals.
Position Details:
Duration: April – July 31, exact dates to be determined
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Part- time requests will be considered.
Location: On-site in the Chittenango Office
Responsibilities include:
Administrative Tasks: Manage attorney calendars, process incoming mail, prepare letters, and assist with billing entries.
Document Support: Assist in drafting and finalizing estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Proxies.
Case Management: Open, organize, and maintain both physical and digital client files.
Client Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, scheduling signing appointments, and gathering necessary information.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in a law firm setting, specifically in estate planning or probate, is strongly preferred.
Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail are required.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with case management software is a plus.
Professionalism: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and external institutions.
