Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC units
- Repair mechanical components of HVAC systems, including compressors, fans, pumps, and ductwork
- Conduct system inspections utilizing schematics and building automation systems to identify potential issues before failures occur
- Rebuild or replace faulty parts, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants and other hazardous materials
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades while providing excellent customer service
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with HVAC system installation and repair projects
- Proven service technician experience in diagnosing and resolving HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) issues
- Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems repair, electrical diagnostics, and HVAC design principles
- Proficiency with plumbing systems related to HVAC applications and building automation systems
- Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration where applicable
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, air conditioning units, appliances repair, and property maintenance tasks
- Skilled in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing
- Knowledge of EPA regulations concerning refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Field service experience working on HVAC system maintenance, installation, or repair projects
