JOB DESCRIPTION: Chief Business Officer (CBO) Under the general direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Business Officer (CBO) provides leadership and oversight of the district’s business and financial operations, including co-developing the annual budget. The CBO monitors legislative developments related to school finance and actively pursues additional funding opportunities through grants, partnerships, and other business collaborations to support district programs. The CBO plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates key operational areas, including maintenance, operations, transportation, student nutrition services, and fiscal services. Responsibilities include attendance accounting, budget development, and financial management and control. The CBO may also represent the Superintendent and the District on Joint Powers Authority (JPA) boards, advisory committees, and in coordination with local, state, and other governmental agencies.
