Field Operations Assistant

looking for a dependable, motivated individual to assist with day-to-day field operations. This is a versatile position for someone who is willing to jump in wherever needed and help keep our crews, jobs, and equipment moving.

Pick up and deliver materials, parts, tools, and supplies to various job sites

Assist field crews with miscellaneous tasks as needed

Fill in as a flagger/traffic control person when required

Take field measurements and quantities

Fuel trucks and construction equipment

Assist with coordinating and controlling trucking operations on job sites

Keep track of truck arrivals, loads, tickets, and material deliveries

Make supply house, vendor, and equipment-yard runs

Move tools, signs, barricades, and small equipment between locations

Assist with job site setup, cleanup, and organization

Communicate with the office and field personnel throughout the day

Perform other general field/support duties as needed

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, flexible, and comfortable working independently. The right person should be able to take direction, communicate well, and adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.

Construction or roadwork experience is helpful but not necessarily required. Familiarity with job sites, basic measurements, traffic control, trucks, or construction equipment is a plus.

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and clean/reliable driving record

Reliable and punctual

Comfortable driving throughout Long Island and traveling between multiple job sites

Able to work outdoors and perform light physical labor

Able to use a tape measure and record basic field information

Comfortable communicating with truck drivers, field crews, inspectors, suppliers, and office staff

Willing to learn and help wherever needed

This is a great position for someone who doesn’t want to be stuck doing the same thing every day. Duties and locations will vary depending on what our projects and crews need.
