What are the responsibilities and job description for the MSA Scanning position at MCSG Technologies?
JOB SUMMARY: Provide Medical Record Scanning services for the Claremore Indian Hospital.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- On-site digitization, scanning, and importing into EHR.
- Access medical records through network folder
- Efficiently and accurately upload medical records to electronic health records
- Abides by clinic policy for naming and classifying of records into VistA Imaging.
- When appropriate, tags clinical staff for notification of scanned record
- Follows Quality Assurance Procedure
- Follows established procedure for quality assurance review
- Only after all documents have been scanned and 100% QA will documents be disposed
- The following criteria met allow for destruction:
- Correct patient;
- Correct title/administrative;
- Indexed per procedure;
- Image legible; and
- Image oriented; and
- Electronic version is accessible
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Background check required.
