As a Barback, you will be responsible for preparing the bar each day by restocking liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, and all other supplies needed for efficient service. You will assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar, maintain the cleanliness of all bar areas, and ensure glassware and waste are managed promptly and safely. Supporting the bartenders, you’ll help replace kegs, prep garnishes, and maintain the organization of storage areas. You’ll also follow hotel safety and sanitation procedures and help respond to guest requests when appropriate, always maintaining the high service standards expected at the Sheraton.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a hospitality or bar setting, though on-the-job training may be provided. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods. Strong communication skills, a positive team attitude, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays are essential. Applicants must also meet legal age requirements to handle alcohol in New York State.
