What you need to bring to this role:
This individual procures and processes specimens to be analyzed in our lab at MCR Health or shipped to the regional lab with the knowledge and skills necessary to assure accuracy in results, reporting, and billing. This individual may have to float to sites as needed in the direction of the Department Head or designee.

In our time of Company growth, we are seeking a Phlebotomist/East Manatee Clinic.
Work Location: Bradenton, FL
As Part Of This Role, You Will
- Maintains positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates
- Procures specimens proficiently, i.e., venipuncture, heel-stick, finger stick, and patient Instructions for the collection of other body fluids
- Knowledgeable regarding Universal Precautions and Aseptic Technique
- Processes specimens for testing or shipment to a regional lab
- Performs proper collection procedure for DOT drug screens, Chain of Custody, and routine collections
- Knowledge regarding processing specimens, i.e., insurance, filling out requisitions, land ab contact numbers, logs in all reports, keeping 3 months of lab results on hand, etc.
- Knowledge to limit venipunctures and report to the supervisor any problems relating to the routine function of the lab
- Knowledge regarding proper instrument cleaning, packing, and handling
- Participates in Quality Improvement activities
- Assists with administrative tasks as necessary
What you need to bring to this role:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED
- Active FL Phlebotomy Certificate preferred
- 1 years' experience working clinically as a CNA
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute is Required
- Valid government or State photo ID
