The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintenance on general organizational equipment not requiring a licensed or certified technician. Responsible for repairs and maintenance of facilities at organizational level. Receives daily direction from the Maintenance Technician – Lead.

Work Location: Bradenton, Florida
As Part Of This Role, You Will
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs first-echelon maintenance on specific organizational equipment, i.e.: air conditioners, generators, etc.
- Performs scheduled maintenance as required on organization equipment
- Performs organization repairs on facilities, which include, but are not limited to, carpentry and replacing defective materials
- Completes any maintenance worksheet, and reports, other maintenance actions as required
- Assists in the maintenance of the facilities to maintain a high state of readiness
- Reports any mechanical defects or failures to the Maintenance Technician – Lead immediately (within the hour)
- Assists the site cleanliness as required including environmental services
- Adheres to TJC policies and procedures as it pertains to maintenance and the organization
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- At least 2 years experience in maintenance and or construction experience required.
- Valid Florida Driver License and the ability to travel to various locations to perform duties required.

As Part Of This Role, You Will
- Proficient with oral and written instructions and reporting as necessary
- Safe and correct operation of power tools
- Knowledge of Modern (ideally within the past 5 years) principles, practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in assignment
- Knowledge of the type of custodial supplies used in various types of commercial buildings and facilities
- Knowledge of, and ability to properly apply codes, rules, regulations, and procedures about area(s) of responsibility
- Ability to understand and follow MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and their application in the work locations
- Ability to read and interpret basic schematic diagrams
- Must be able to complete job competency training
- Must be competent in OSHA construction safety standards
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with colleagues, clients, and external organizations
- Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety, communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned
- Subject to and expected to comply with all MCR Health applicable policies and procedures, including but not limited to MCR Health personnel policies
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in maintenance and or construction experience preferred
- Valid State or Government issued ID
