Brief Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs first-echelon maintenance on specific organizational equipment, i.e.: air conditioners, generators, etc.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance as required on organization equipment
  • Performs organization repairs on facilities, which include, but are not limited to, carpentry and replacing defective materials
  • Completes any maintenance worksheet, and reports, other maintenance actions as required
  • Assists in the maintenance of the facilities to maintain a high state of readiness
  • Reports any mechanical defects or failures to the Maintenance Technician – Lead immediately (within the hour)
  • Assists the site cleanliness as required including environmental services
  • Adheres to TJC policies and procedures as it pertains to maintenance and the organization

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years experience in maintenance and or construction experience required.
  • Valid Florida Driver License and the ability to travel to various locations to perform duties required.

Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintenance on general organizational equipment not requiring a licensed or certified technician. Responsible for repairs and maintenance of facilities at organizational level. Receives daily direction from the Maintenance Technician – Lead.

Work Location: Bradenton, Florida

As Part Of This Role, You Will

  • Proficient with oral and written instructions and reporting as necessary
  • Safe and correct operation of power tools
  • Knowledge of Modern (ideally within the past 5 years) principles, practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in assignment
  • Knowledge of the type of custodial supplies used in various types of commercial buildings and facilities
  • Knowledge of, and ability to properly apply codes, rules, regulations, and procedures about area(s) of responsibility
  • Ability to understand and follow MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and their application in the work locations
  • Ability to read and interpret basic schematic diagrams
  • Must be able to complete job competency training
  • Must be competent in OSHA construction safety standards
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with colleagues, clients, and external organizations
  • Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety, communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned
  • Subject to and expected to comply with all MCR Health applicable policies and procedures, including but not limited to MCR Health personnel policies

What You Need To Bring To This Role

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience in maintenance and or construction experience preferred
  • Valid State or Government issued ID
