McQuillen Manufacturing is a contract manufacturer located 20 minutes south of Rochester in Honeoye Falls, NY. We specialize in 5 axis machining of components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries. We operate in a modern and extremely clean work environment.
We are seeking experienced candidates for this role, ideal for individuals with advanced skills and a strong background in CNC Programming and Machining.
Job Description
· Review customer specifications to help create manufacturing processes, including work holding definition, tooling, and material requirements
· Create NC programs and shop documentation utilizing Siemens NX CAD/CAM for 3-5 axis mills, lathes, and multitasking machines
· Utilize CNC machine simulation software such as NX, Vericut, and CAMplete to verify NC code
· Utilize CAD software to design work holding, custom fixtures, and assemblies
· Optimize and modify existing programs to support on-going development
· Interact with production, quality, and operations teams to produce conforming first articles and optimize programs
Requirements
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute to a culture of trust, technical knowledge, and shared mission success
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience with CNC programming (Siemens NX preferred, or industry standard such as Mastercam, Esprit, Hypermill)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience CAD modeling, work-holding and tooling design (Siemens NX preferred, or industry standard such as SolidWorks, Catia, Inventor)
- Experience with multi-axis programming methods
- Knowledge of industry standard cutting tools and machining parameters
- Ability to read complex blueprints and demonstrate high level GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5)
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work as a team and independently
- Experience with AS9100 environment (preferred)
