- Assist in maintaining correct environment within the surgical suites and the surgical department.
- Maintains all credentialing satisfactorily.
- Exhibits professionalism always.
- Maintains confidentiality as required by HIPAA regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Anticipates, prepares, and maintains the sterile field with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the surgical procedure.
- Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique.
- Anticipates the needs of the surgeon during the surgical procedure.
- Clean, prepare, document, and terminally sterilize instruments.
- Takes call on rotation with other staff during OR non-scheduled hours as appropriate.
- Formal surgical training program required, graduated from accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
- Currently enrolled in or completed formal Surgical Technologist Program
- 1-2 years OR experience preferred.
- BLS within 6 months of hiring
