McPherson Concrete Storage Systems (MCSS) is seeking a Shop Welder / Fabricator to support our shop operations and field construction teams. This position is responsible for performing welding and steel fabrication for project components, preparing equipment for job sites, and assisting with loading and unloading materials and equipment used in silo construction projects.

This position is responsible for performing welding and steel fabrication for project components, preparing equipment for job sites, and assisting with loading and unloading materials and equipment used in silo construction projects.
This role works primarily in our shop
- Perform welding and steel fabrication for project components and openings
- Fabricate and modify steel components as required for silo construction projects
- Assist with equipment and component changes in the shop
- Load and unload trailers with tools, equipment, and materials for job sites
- Prepare equipment and components for shipment to field crews
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Follow all shop safety procedures and welding standards
- Monday - Friday
- 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Includes a short morning break and a 1-hour lunch
- Prior welding experience required
- Experience with steel fabrication and shop tools
- Ability to operate forklifts or assist with loading/unloading trailers (preferred)
- Ability to read basic fabrication drawings or instructions
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Ability to lift and move materials as required in a shop environment
- No travel required
- No per diem
- Work performed primarily in the shop environment
