Duties
- Assist the Hydrovac operator with setup, operation, and breakdown of hydrovac equipment on construction sites.
- Support excavation activities by helping to position hoses, manage water pressure, and monitor vacuum systems for optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of hydrovac machinery to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations, equipment safety procedures, and site-specific safety protocols diligently.
- Help with utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation begins, ensuring safe digging practices.
- Support other heavy equipment operations such as loaders, excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, water trucks, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving machinery as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with team members to coordinate tasks effectively and uphold a safe work environment.
Skills
- Ability to perform basic mechanical maintenance on construction machinery.
- Experience with utility locating techniques to prevent underground utility damage.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in grading, paving, horizontal drilling, or tanker operations is advantageous.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as Caterpillar machines or similar heavy machinery confidently.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour
