Miami Beach Marine Services is a growing provider of yacht repair and maintenance services for vessels located in and around Miami Beach, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale.
We are hiring an experienced accountant or bookkeeper as who will own the responsibilities of the daily bookeeping work. The work must be performed onsite in Miami Beach initially and can transition to eventually be partially remote once fully up to speed. We expect our initial need to be for 20-25 hours per week, starting at 8 AM. The schedule can be flexible by mutual agreement and assuming the work is completed.
Qualifications:
- 2 years bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Verifiable professional references
- Drug free and willing to participate in random DOT drug screening
- Associates or Bachelors Degree is a plus
- Bookkeping Certification is a plus
Qualities:
A successful candidate for this position will be:
- Local to South Beach with reliable transportation (parking provided)
- Timely and able to consistently arrive on time for meetings
- Dependable and able to complete tasks on time
- Personable and easy to work with
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
- Processing Payroll
- Reconciling Accounts
- Preparing invoices for Customers
- Reconciling time sheets to invoices
- Collecting payments for invoices
- Bookeeping in Quickbooks including income and expense categorization, producing income and expense reports, balance sheet
- Creating purchase orders for parts and supplies
- Maintaining inventory
- Paying vendors
- Completing monthly sales tax submissions
- Filing and paying various business registrations and fees
Job Types: Contract, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
