MCO Construction & Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our water utilities client in Palm Beach County. This role ensures efficient project execution, accurate documentation, and timely processing of project-related financials.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project managers, engineers, and field teams by maintaining project documentation, tracking schedules and budgets, and coordinating communication across stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and timelines
- Monitor project progress and support adherence to schedules and deliverables
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, contractors, and vendors
- Support resource coordination, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Manage and organize project documents in systems such as OnBase, SharePoint, or similar platforms
- Process documents through review, approval, and filing workflows
- Ensure compliance with document standards, naming conventions, and recordkeeping procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and files
- Review contracts, service authorizations, work orders, and closeout documents for accuracy
- Track project expenses and assist in budget monitoring
- Prepare, enter, and route progress payment requests for timely processing
- Research and resolve discrepancies related to documents, invoices, or payments
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, reports, and meeting updates
- Provide document control and project status updates during team meetings
- Maintain clear communication across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support quality control processes and ensure adherence to project standards and regulations
- Assist in identifying project risks and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Assist with training staff on document control systems and procedures
- Perform general administrative and project support tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in project coordination, administrative support, or document control
- Experience with OnBase, SharePoint, or similar document management systems required
- Experience in construction, engineering, or public infrastructure projects preferred
- Familiarity with project coordination, scheduling, and budgeting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project tracking tools
Pay: $26.53 - $35.00 per hour
