Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to maintain aesthetic appeal and health of lawns and gardens
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for planting, weed control, aeration, and soil preparation
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Conduct regular lawn care activities such as fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy growth
- Assist with landscaping projects by planting new greenery, installing mulch or decorative stones, and maintaining flower beds
- Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas by removing debris, leaves, and trash to uphold a pristine appearance
- Monitor plant health and identify horticultural issues early to prevent disease or pest infestations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape upkeep techniques is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers safely
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
