Pine Street Land Company, an affiliate of McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC, is seeking an experienced Settlement Officer to join our team.
In this key role, you’ll manage the entire title and settlement process - from reviewing title commitments to preparing and finalizing settlement statements - ensuring each transaction closes smoothly, accurately, and on time.
What You’ll Do
Review title commitments and resolve any liens or encumbrances prior to closing.
Prepare and review all closing documentation, including deeds, settlement statements, corporate resolutions, affidavits, and loan documents.
Ensure all title requirements are met and settlement statements are accurate and complete.
Examine financial and legal documents for compliance, accuracy, and readiness for recording.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Coordinate with clients, banks, real estate agents, attorneys, and internal teams to facilitate timely closings.
Maintain thorough transaction records and follow up on outstanding documentation.
Identify and escalate potential risks to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
What You Bring
At least 2 years of experience in real estate closings (commercial or residential).
A Pennsylvania Title Agent license (required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Qualia a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
A high school diploma or equivalent (required).
