Role Purpose:
The Systems Engineer is one of the primary engineering representatives within McNaughton-McKay and works with the Sales team and vendors in the development of marketing and support activities for the assigned products and product groups.
Systems Engineer responsibilities include:
Pre-Sale Responsibilities:
- Acting as sales support of assigned products and product groups.
- Developing relationships with the Sales team and decision-makers within the identified customers.
- Monitoring the application and business trends implemented at the identified customers.
- Developing a strategy with Sales to promote the sales of assigned products and product groups at the identified customers.
- Developing solutions that address application trends at the assigned customers.
- Utilizing customer relationships and documented activities to leverage the value-add activities provided to the customer.
- Establishing business relationships with vendors of assigned product technologies as the technical liaison for customer and sales support.
- Assisting in the development of vendor contracts and agreements with vendors of assigned product technologies.
Post-Sale Responsibilities:
- Managing the availability and strategic account requirements for the assigned product technologies.
- Managing the availability and the Services and Solutions (SaS) team requirements for the assigned product technologies.
- Training the Inside Sales and technical support personnel on the assigned product technologies.
- Educating and supporting the Sales staff on the assigned product technologies.
- Developing and maintaining the information and support infrastructure required for the assigned product technologies.
Service Responsibilities:
- Qualifying the level of assistance provided to customers with product and integration issues.
- Creating the required service procedures to support the assigned product technologies.
- Developing the vendor service/support strategies for the assigned product technologies.
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
- Product knowledge of assigned product technologies
- Thorough knowledge of strategic customer applications
- Good relationship with the vendors of assigned technologies
- Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Reports To: Engineering Supervisor

Normal office environment.
