Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to create accurate cost estimates
Perform quantity take-offs and solicit subcontractor bids
Price labor, materials, and equipment in alignment with project specifications
Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers during early project phases
Assist in preparing proposals, bid packages, and budgets
Maintain cost data to support future estimating and benchmarking
Project Management
Plan and coordinate all phases of construction projects
Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
Monitor budgets and control costs to meet financial targets
Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and all project documentation
Ensure compliance with project plans, contracts, and building codes
Coordinate with stakeholders for smooth project delivery
Field Supervision
Supervise daily on-site operations and subcontractor work
Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA and company safety compliance
Manage materials, deliveries, and site logistics
Conduct site inspections for quality control and plan adherence
Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
Act as primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and vendors on site
Qualifications
5 years of experience in construction supervision, estimating, and project management
Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, materials, and systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and technical documents
Skilled in scheduling, coordination, and problem-solving
Proficient with or willing to learn project management and communication software
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Passion for historic restoration is highly valued
Education
High School diploma or GED required
A degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred
Equivalent experience with strong estimating and project leadership background will be considered
