Key Responsibilities

• Estimating & Pre-Construction

  • Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to create accurate cost estimates

  • Perform quantity take-offs and solicit subcontractor bids

  • Price labor, materials, and equipment in alignment with project specifications

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers during early project phases

  • Assist in preparing proposals, bid packages, and budgets

  • Maintain cost data to support future estimating and benchmarking

• Project Management

  • Plan and coordinate all phases of construction projects

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines

  • Monitor budgets and control costs to meet financial targets

  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and all project documentation

  • Ensure compliance with project plans, contracts, and building codes

  • Coordinate with stakeholders for smooth project delivery

• Field Supervision

  • Supervise daily on-site operations and subcontractor work

  • Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA and company safety compliance

  • Manage materials, deliveries, and site logistics

  • Conduct site inspections for quality control and plan adherence

  • Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and safety standards

  • Act as primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and vendors on site

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in construction supervision, estimating, and project management

• Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, materials, and systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and technical documents

• Skilled in scheduling, coordination, and problem-solving

• Proficient with or willing to learn project management and communication software

• OSHA 30 certification preferred

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Passion for historic restoration is highly valued

Education

• High School diploma or GED required

• A degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred

• Equivalent experience with strong estimating and project leadership background will be considered

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, Full-Time

• Standard business hours; occasional extended hours as project needs require

• Galveston, Texas – On-site project supervision required

• Some local travel may be necessary to job sites within the region
