The Role:
The position of Project Manager will offer you the ability to apply your knowledge of structural engineering to manage several projects and a team of engineers to deliver successful projects. As a key member of the engineering team, you will work on a wide range of projects for each stage of design from conceptual studies through construction administration. Our fast-paced environment requires the ability to work both independently and in a leadership role as part of the office team.
Duties:
This is a diverse role and the duties include:
- Oversee entire projects and project teams
- Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports, and correspondence
- Oversee construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFI’s and field observation
- Attend internal and external meetings with clients and design team members
- Provide QA/QC for projects and team members
- Assist with the growth of younger engineers
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures
- Master’s degree in Civil/Structural engineering
- PE license
- Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI
- Expertise with structural programs including RAM Concept, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE, REVIT
- Project and staff management experience
- Excellent planning and organizational experience
- Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
