STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING - PROJECT ENGINEER, DENVER OFFICE
McNamara Salvia is hiring in our new and growing Denver, CO Office opened in 2020! This a unique opportunity to work on both local and national projects varying from complex renovations to tall towers in a wide range of market sectors. Applicants will also be directly involved in the growth and creation of culture in the new office.
The Role:
The position of Project Engineer involves structural analysis and design, computer modeling and calculations, client interaction, and collaboration with leading architects, planners, and engineers. You will work in a collaborative team environment on various building projects in a variety of market sectors, managing small to medium-sized projects.
Duties:
This is a diverse role and the duties include:
- Engineering, analysis, and design tasks
- Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports and correspondence
- Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, submittals, RFIs and field observation
- Attend internal and external meetings with clients and design team members
- Occasional field inspections and investigations
- Support of production efforts with Revit modeling tasks
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural engineering or a closely related field (Master's desirable)
- EIT and tracking for PE/SE licensure
- Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI
- Expertise with structural programs including RAM, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE,. REVIT
- Excellent planning and organizational experience
- Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
